FOOD TECHNOLOGY

This semester is the great of all.  Cooking is fun!  We majored this semester food technology, and of course, it is more on cooking and cooking.  Here is our specialty, 

Grilled Pork ala Mayo

Main ingredient: pork.  Grilled pork ala mayo,  mayo for mayonnaise.  The steps is so easy to follow.  From simply marinating the pork to make it tender, and grilled.  The marinade mix is composed of soy sauce, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic and onions.  After grilling, garnish with leaves and serve. 

Pechugas de Pollo ala Queso

Pechugas de Pollo ala queso.  Pechugas refers to the breast.  Pollo is the spanish term for chicken.  The process is not that hard to do.  Simply marinate the chicken to make its flesh tender to the bite. After, make a pocket in the chicken and put some cheese (quickmelt).  Batter the chicken.  Deep fry.  Garnish and serve.

Pork Shawarma ala Empanada (beside grilled pork)

Pork Shawarma is composed of ground pork, raisins, green bell peeper and white onions inside the lumpia wrapper.  First, saute the ingredients with a hot oil in the pan.  Set aside to cool.  Then, wrap the pork and shape it into triangles.  Deep-fry.  Garnish and serve.

Complicated Filipino Subject

I spent the whole night searching for filipino words with meaning which are quiet rare to find.  As I surf the net, I got too excited 'cause I thought to myself that I found it.  It made me laugh though I am bit irritated 'cause I exert effort on searching these words.  So, here are the words....

Abuloy --- bayad sa nahigop na kape at nanguyang biskwit sa nilamayang sakla.
Akala ---- alam na alam daw.
Aginaldo - inaasahan na makukuha sa araw ng Pasko na mas okay sana kung pera na lang.
Ama ------ pamilyadong gustong maging binata
Bakasyon - sandaliang pahinga sa trabahong hingal lang ang pahinga.
Bakit ---- tanong na laging mahirap masagot.
Bakya ---- tsinelas na may takong.
Baga ----- lutuan ng mga hindi makabili ng microwave.
Bagoong -- masarap na ulam ng mga walang maiulam.
Baldado -- hindi mamamatay-matay na mukhang hindi na mabubuhay.
Bale ----- suweldong inutang.
Binata ------ lalaking gustong maging ama
Biyenan ------ anay ng tahanan
Kaaway --- ikli ng 'kaibigan na Inayawan.'
Kababata - dating gelpren na may ibang boypren.
Kabag ---- dighay at utot na naghalo sa tiyan.
Kabayo --- hayop na sinasakyan Ng kalesa.
Kabit ------ asawang nakatira sa iba
Kalbo ---- gupit ng buhok na korteng itlog.
Dalaga --------- babaeng gustong maging ina.
Dalaginding - dalagang hindi pa nagsusuot ng bra.
Dighay ------- Utot na lumabas sa bunganga.
Dilim ---- liwanag na maitim.
E -------- ireng paseksi.

Field Study :)

Hoping to finish my field study project. It isn't really a joke :(( It seemed like I am not well for five years. Thanks to be God though. Have a great day ahead folks!

He knows it all!

Chatting is what we used to do with my classmates when professors are not around to have our class.  Brainstorming rather is the other term of this called activity.  I love it this way because I get some ideas from them.  Through experience, we shared a lot of talking.  What I hate is, when there is one who really contradict my or even other's ideas.  It's just like he knows everything.  And from a simple contradiction, gone to hitting harsh words to both parties.  Understanding is what matters most.  But, how can we understand each other if there is one who can't bring his flag down?  He is Mr. PERFECT!!! He knows everything, from the famous gadgets, celebrities, places, historical events, and even life of others.  We are not perfect, yes I know, but we can't help ourselves to get irritated the way he is.  Sometimes, to get out from long discussion, I prefer to be silent and just merely listening them arguing.  I hate arguing people on nonsense thoughts.  It's just wasting my effort to speak, though it's a great exercise too haha.  Anyways, we can't dictate his mind to do the way what we want.  What we need is just to respect him.  That's the way he is, no matter what.

The Barometer of Friendship

A -  accept negative sides and weaknesses of one another

B -  boastfulness is an ill attitude, beware!

C -  cherish your happy moments together

D -  discuss one another's problems, discouragements and the like

E -  encourage your friend to become more eager to face rapid  changes in life

F -   foster passionate attention to one another as if you are  in one family; 

          brotherly and sisterly

G -   god always guide us, so have faith

H -  honestly is always the best policy; bear with it

I -   incubate one's maturity to understand fully the essence of  friendship

J -   justify the worth of your friendship by deeds not by words

K -  keep both of your secrets with you, be reliable

L -   loyalty is one of the emblems for a lifetime friendship

M -  make your words an action

N -  never spread rumors about your friends, if you have problem 
         with them, tell them instead

O -  open your mind to any suggestions, comments, feedbacks, etc.

P -   pride is the hardest thing to chew, make it tender

Q -  quit all your insecurities, be happy of what your friend becomes, don't be selfish

R -   resolve your misunderstandings with one another immediately, be a diplomat

S -   saying sorry whoever did the mistake is a sacred act, be humble

T -   treasure your friends as if they are the last ones

U -   understand one's imperfections

V -   value one's diversities

W -  waive for non-sense work if they need you, it really counts

X -   it is associated with the past, don't make your friendship end,  

      make it for a lifetime

Y -   yonder the consequence of one's decision, it could be good or  bad, 

       you should balance

Z -   zip your mouth for words which are not pleasant in nature          

If we are able to do majority of these principles, then we can really utter that we are best as their friends.  Don't try to ask yourself if you ever get the same thing in return.  This doesn't matter, does it?  This is not the barometer of considering friends.  It is not seen on what they can give but what matters most is how you value your friendship and how you consider it as such.
